BackThe Legacy of Heritage in my Life

Heritage Bible College, formerly London Baptist Bible College was offering courses that I knew would enable me to be a more informed, educated, scripturally-prepared teacher, educator, counsellor, mother & mentor in the early 1980’s. I personally knew the founders of this school and knew they were people of integrity, and committed to the known & clear doctrines, principles & practices in scripture and to reaching our world for Christ and training others to do likewise. It was such a privilege to study courses such as Music, Bible survey, and Counselling under these professors.

Heritage helped me on every level to graduate finally and I praise God that He has used the training I received throughout these years in many ways.

I have led Bible Studies, taught programs for unmarried moms, worked for London Area Right to Life, taught Sunday School classes, volunteered at a Street Mission, Co-led with my husband several years of ALPHA courses and most recently used my counselling courses to lead GRIEFSHARE (A Bible study & support group suitable for Non-Christians (some come to know the Great Comforter).Another great joy I have is volunteering at New Life Prison Ministries not far from my home where my prisoner “students” send in basic Bible lessons (over 7,000 lessons were processed in 2009!).The counselling studies have been invaluable to me as I try with God’s direction to answer their many questions and broken-hearted cries. But the greatest joy of all is that my own children and grandchildren are walking in the truth, growing spiritually, and serving in various capacities.

We have also had the privilege to see a niece attend Heritage where she met her husband and together they are in full-time ministry for the Lord in Exeter. Another nephew and his wife attended Heritage and they are currently ministering to Youth in Nova Scotia.
